Cat Door Knobs & Accessories

When we decided to create Cat Door Handles we turned to investment casting as the medium to capture the character and details of the 4 cat styles of door handles. We knew that we would not be able to capture the individual character and unique attributes of every cat owner’s special feline, so we focused on capturing the textures, head shapes and expressions central to each of these breeds.

We began this project with dog handles inspired by a portrait Martin sculpted of our dog Iris. However, a dear friend asked why we were not including cats and in particular her rag doll cat and as they say, the rest is history! Martin’s first cast handle was predictably based on photos of our friends cat and this motivated him to sculpt 3 other types of cat, Persian, Siamese and the prolific stray moggy cat.

We have spent over a decade designing and making richly detailed custom door knobs and are using our artistry, experience in bronze casting and patinas to develop a collection of equally detailed cat door knobs, door knockers and collar hooks. As with all our work these pieces are made to order and hand-crafted here in Los Angeles.
