Product Finish & Care:

Our cabinet pulls and door hardware are created using the lost wax method of casting and are available in either silicon bronze or 316 stainless steel. Bronze and stainless steel are both highly durable alloys and are rust resistant. Our castings are made with 85% recycled metal and are made in the USA in Los Angeles. Please read best below for care and cleaning practices for each alloy.

Bronze

Our Bronze cabinet pulls can be ordered on-line in a light antique or dark antique oil rubbed finish. These finishes are created using an oxidizing material that is applied by hand and sealed with a water-based sealer. As each piece is hand finished no 2 pieces will be identical and subtle variations may occur between pieces. The look of the bronze will change over time with each piece developing its unique patina. Cleaning all surfaces with a mild soapy water and a non-abrasive cloth will help the piece age gradually. Do not use cleaning agents that contain abrasive elements or caustic chemicals as these may discolor or corrode the piece. Make sure to dry the surface after cleaning with a soft cloth.

Stainless Steel

Our 316 stainless steel castings have a brushed finish except for our Ergo collection which can either be uniformly brushed or finished as a two-tone texture with some areas polished and some areas brushed to accentuate the fluid nature of this collection. Please refer to the Ergo cabinet images in the product section. The surface of the piece can be cleaned with a lint free or microfiber cloth and a small amount of non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner. The cleaner should be applied in the same direction as the grain of the brushed surface. For polished surfaces the cleaner should be applied in a circular non directional pattern.

Nickel Plating

Our orchid cabinet pulls are available in brushed nickel which is applied as a thin film over the bronze casting by electroplating.
The nickel surface will tarnish and needs to cleaned regularly with a lightly soaped water applied using a very soft cloth. Following cleaning the surface should be thoroughly dried and it may be sealed with a furniture wax which may help to reduce tarnishing. Do not use harsh or abrasive chemicals to clean the surface. If regularly cleaned the nickel plating will last a long time provided it is not exposed to salt water or air acidity or other damaging pollutants.

Return Policy

We do not offer an open return policy, each sale being final unless a piece is defective. Each piece is made and finished by hand and we hope will become a valued treasure. In the unlikely event that a product is defective please contact us so that we may issue a return authorization. Subtle variations in the finish of products will not be considered a defect. The evolving color of a patina that naturally changes over time is also not considered a defect. Similarly, any damage that occurs through poor installation or care for the product will not be considered a defect. On receiving the returned piece and if it is defective, we will replace the product promptly or issue a refund if requested.
