Dung Beetle with Ball
Continues the fictional story of small-scale humans and appropriately large-scale insects. The mighty dung beetle is equipped with sophisticated mapping techniques and uses the sun and moon to navigate his brood ball to the brood den. By standing on top of the ball and rotating its direction he uses the planets and stars to navigate his pathway.
This is the first dung ball and Martin has used full artistic license to create an organic perforated sphere that bares little resemblance to the typical dung ball.
He sees the dung ball evolving to become a creche center for the young beetles or possibly living spaces for humans and he will be rolling these out in the months and years to come.
