A mid-summers getaway to Pt. Reyes

One of the amazing things about living in California is that you do not have to go far to find a change of scenery or climate.  Such is the case for us as we travel north to Pt. Reyes National Seashore, located in Marin County.  This beautiful part of northern California provides us with a change from the sandy and smooth beaches of southern California to a more rugged coastline ripe for exploration and cooled by the breezes and fog from the Pacific. We will be taking some lovely long hikes and hope to again see herds of wild elk and maybe see a stag as we did last year, which is just such a magical experience.martin pierce elk stag on estero trail

Bird spotting is just a given and any insects we find along our path will, of course, be photographed.  You never know what new  custom hardware products will be inspired by this trip!
